Attendance tips

Attendance plays a big role in students’ lives. It is a life skill that will help them graduate and succeed in future jobs and classes. Your student should not miss more than 9 days of school a year. And if you’re tired of your child being absent from school often, here are some tips that might help you. The first thing you should do is make them aware that their attendance is important to you, you should help your child get things done beforehand and also make sure they get good nights rest so they don’t feel like crap the next day.

Another thing you can do to make sure your child is keeping their attendance up is by asking them how school is going and what is going on at their school. Help your child stay engaged with their peers and teachers. And if you want to make sure they are engaging in school you can encourage them to join a club or a sport.

The final thing that will help your child improve their attendance is by knowing the schools policy on attendance. And honestly, if you’re really worried about your child’s attendance then you can call the school and see how your child is doing. All in all, just be involved with your child and their attendance, make sure they are engaged and at school.
