Kalissa Kennedy and Kaydence Richens

Q: This week I am trying out for the soccer team. I am really nervous even though I’ve played soccer since I was eight. I’m scared that I won’t be accepted by the rest of the team. What do I do?

A: For what it’s worth,. from my experience on high school sports teams, it’s the complete opposite. We both think that they are a great way to get involved, and have fun. We’re sure that you will be accepted by the team, and the coaches.

Q: Lately I have been really anxious at school. I want to talk to my counselor about it but I’m too scared. I get really anxious when a teacher calls on me, and I am starting to get really bad social anxiety. Should I man up and go to my counselor, or just push through the year?

A: Absolutely go to your, counselor. They help with everything. We both have experience with our counselors, and think that they are a huge help. I personally have anxiety and my counselor is always the first person I go to. At first I was really scared, but now, it’s a natural instinct to go and talk with them. We for sure suggest going to your counselor. Everything will work out just fine.

Q: I recently read you guys’ article about teachers, and I’ve noticed I have a teacher just like how you’ve explained. I’m not sure what to do, he even falls asleep sometimes. I really wish that he didn’t because I love that subject and want to actually learn more. I feel so alone though, no one else seems to notice it.

A: We know where you’re coming from. We all have, and are going to have teachers like that, but try and focus on the teachers that are actually amazing. If this fails, you can always talk to your counselor about switching to a new class. We are positive everything will work itself out.
