Bullying

Austin Jensen, staff writer

Everyone should be involved in stopping bullying. “One expert named Dan Olweus indicates that to stop bullies entire school communities must resolve to end bullying. He clarifies that onlookers who watch victims get bullied constitute part of the problem”.1 Olweus is basically showing that everyone should be involved with stopping bullying. It should be the whole school community stepping in, not just the students. Though we as students should not be onlookers. We should step in and try to stop the bullying, and if we can’t then we should tell someone who will, like our principle or staff members.

Kids want to help, and know they should, but they don’t always do it.”2 (Emily Bazelon). Why don’t we as students always step in to stop bullying ? Bullying is not something that should be left alone. The victims do in fact need us, all of us. Whether it be a text to see if they are okay or frankly just someone that they can talk to. If there is something that you can do, then do it. Everyone should be involved in stopping bullying.
