Long weeks, days, hours
Have you felt the week is going very slowly? It is good and bad at the same time walking in the halls, it’s is very common to hear, ” It’s only Monday…” or this one “it’s only second period…” These comments are very normal because when you are tired you not in the mood for anything and I mean anything. Mondays sort of help because Monday’s class periods are much shorter, but the rest of the week you are pretty much done for. When it hits Friday morning I bet 99.9% of students and teachers say, “Hallelujah!” when they wake up. It’s not that the teachers don’t enjoy teaching, (they love it, I mean I can’t speak for everyone yet that’s why they pick this job, right?) And the left-over percentage of you students either must be crazy or you just like waking up early and coming to learn, not that learning is a bad thing, it’s just learning super early in the morning when your brain is just not having it.
Now let’s chat about not just the week, the day in particular when you go to class and the bell rings *dong dong dong dong* meaning that it’s time for class to start. Your teacher hands out an assignment or a test if your taking one, or whatever you do in the class your sitting and as you look at the time it’s only been about ten minutes into class *great* but you know you have to deal with it, you still have lunch for socializing thirty minutes only, but that is all your going to get and then back to class.
But a slow week can give you enough time to get your grades up if your struggling, and then you have Spring Break to get your sleep in, hang out with friends and family, and do whatever you please. Mostly everyone is look forward to summer break. The best we are all waiting for it who isn’t. Some students will not come back sadly if your a senior this year or if your moving. But “Once a Wolverine always a Wolverine.” Can we change these long weeks, days, and hours? I don’t think so unless you have a way of making time go faster. I’m pretty sure you don’t so I guess we have to deal with it.
