The Battle for Ukraine

On February 21, 2022, Russia declared that it would be invading Ukraine from now on. And the Russian President, Putin has declared that if there is any interference with the invasion then the said interference will suffer great casualties. The Ukraine president has decided to stay and fight in the frontlines with other soldiers and civilians that wanted to stay and fight for Ukraine.

I heard from a friend of mine that Russia is losing. My only guess on why they are losing is because they were lied to saying that they were going to a Russian training facility in Ukraine, saying Ukrainian people will welcome them into Ukraine. I got this information from a video online, where the Ukraine ambassador read a text between a mother and a son. Moments, before he was killed his last word, was “Mom this hard, I’m scared.” The Ukraine Ambassador looks sadder about the Russian soldier’s death than Putin looked in a heartbeat.

I want to talk about it more but it’s just a lot that’s happening that I don’t really know how to explain. It is very difficult to explain. Allow me to share a quote. “Since armies are legal, we feel that war is acceptable; in general, nobody feels that war is criminal or that accepting it is criminal attitude. In fact, we have been brainwashed. War is neither glamorous nor attractive. It is monstrous. Its very nature is one of tragedy and suffering.” Dalai Lama
