Sandy Kidnapping

Yesterday around 3:00 PM officials said a women was offered a ride by 8400 South Sandy Parkway. The man driving to car offered the women a ride and began to drive her all around town for hours according to the detectives. Hours later the women was able to escape the car in Magna and called the Sandy police, when she was found things started to escalate quickly. The cops found the man driving around in Magna, which led to a multiple hour chase.

The man tried running from the cops for hours while hitting speeds of around 100 miles an hour. At this point in time the man was a threat to everyone around him, and he was for many hours. Around 2 AM this morning the man crashed the vehicle into a police car. Later in the investigation is was found out that the car he was driving was also stolen. After crashing the car the man tired to run which later lead to his arrest.

He was taken to the hospital to get treated for miner injures then booked into the jail for suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault. The women turned out to be okay with no injuries. This case is now being investigated to find out the whole story.
