Fires have been devouring Australia for several months. Many people have lost their homes along with personal items. Animals have lost their home, and for some, their lives too. These fires have been tormenting Australia for such a long time that it’s gotten everyone’s attention. Many celebrities have spoken about it to raise awareness and donate money. 5 Seconds of Summer singer, Luke Hemmings tweeted, “Breaks my heart to see my home country being torn apart by fires. Thank you for the tireless efforts of the firefighters and volunteers. Heart goes out to the victims.” It’s heartbreaking to see how people are loosing their homes due to these fires. More than 1 billion animals have died thanks to these fires. People are trying their best to raise money to rebuild homes for those who have lost them.

The raging fires have hit one specific animal the worst. Koalas. These adorable and gentle creatures are being killed by the fires, so many of them have died and for the ones that are still alive, their habitat is nearly destroyed. Currently, people are talking about how the fires are impacting global warming and such, not caring much about Australia’s citizens and wildlife. The most important thing to do right now is to get everyone to safety and stop the fires destroying this beautiful country, that is home to so many people and animals. There are so many places where you can donate money to help those who have been affected by the fires. Please donate if you can, every cent helps.

A few weeks ago, it started raining in Australia and helped firefighters calm down the raging flames devouring Australia. It was a really big relief knowing that it was raining in Australia, but new dangers could come up. The smoke from the fire causes trouble breathing and some land is so dry that the water slips off. Even though the rain didn’t completely put out the fires, everyone is happy to know that Australia’s citizens are much safer now. The rain didn’t affect the whole country or every fire, but it certainly helped. More than 3,000 homes have been lost by these fires and so many animals have been affected by these raging flames eating their country. There are places where you can donate money to help Australia, and if you can please do it. There’s people in need of a home, and you can help them.
