2019 multicultural assembly

2019+multicultural+assembly

Haelei VanGend, Staff Writer

Here at Hunter high we have many cultures that make up who our school really is. We wanted to take a chance to honor as many of those cultures possible with just one assembly. We had many students who wanted to join, many who had clubs, and more. Most of these performances have been practiced over the past two months. Our gym was decorated with all different flags and balloons to get into the spirit. We had family coming to support their students, teachers and staff, and of course the students.

We had so many awesome performances and the crowed loved them. From beautiful Asian dances to traditional Samoan dances, there was never a dull moment. Everyone put in 100% with their performances and it turned out amazing. We also had the national anthem sung live for us, as per usual. To add a twist we also had some of Mr. Barney’s students sign the national anthem in ASL. This annual assembly is loved by everyone here at Hunter High and we are all so pleased with this year’s outcome.
