Dear K&K

Kaydence and Kalissa answer your biggest questions

Kalissa Kennedy, staff writer

Q: This week is Spirit week, and none of my friends dress for the days, but I really want to. They all say it’s dumb, but I think it is really fun. Should I just not dress up, or should I do it anyway?

A: For sure dress up, it is a great way to earn points for your class, and it is really fun. If your friends say anything about it just ignore them. Or tell them that it is fun, and that they should do it. I hope everything goes well.

Q: I just changed a class in my schedule, and so now I am in different class periods for some of my classes. I honestly don’t know very many people in any of my classes now, and I feel awkward in some of them. I am not very good at making friends, and it’s really hard for me to talk to new people. I think I want to change my classes back to the way they were. What do you think?

A: Well, it might be easy for me to say, but try talking to some new people. Or when and if you have to partner with someone try becoming friends with them. You never know, you could make a new best friend forever in one of these classes. So give them a try. I am sure everything will go well.

Q: So I recently started dating this girl, and she is really sweet, but I haven’t told my friends yet. I don’t want them to blow it up, and everything. They deserve to know, but I don’t know how to tell them. Have any tips?

A: One way to tell them is you can just say it straight up. Just tell that you have a girlfriend and that’s that. Another way you can tell them is to subtly bring her around them, I am sure that eventually one of them will ask you about her. There are many other ways to tell them, but don’t stress over it. It will all happen in good time. Hope that this works out for you.
