Dear K&K

Kaydence and Kalissa answer your biggest questions

Kalissa Kennedy, staff writer

Q: This week I have a huge test in biology, I am really nervous that I won’t do good on it. I feel like I know all the material, but I think I might stress out and get them wrong. What should I do?

A: If you feel you know the material, then studying isn’t your solution. Maybe up until the test day practice ways to bring your stress level down, that way during the test you can calm down and take the test well. Some things you can try is to practice breathing techniques, learn about pressure points that help with stress, or even bring a water bottle. I am sure your teacher will allow one, and water really helps with stress. We hope everything goes well for you.

Q: School lunch here is really gross to me, but I am really hungry by the time it’s lunch. What should I do?

A: Well, you can start bringing home lunches. Just keep it in your locker during class time and then get it at lunch. That way you won’t have to eat the school’s food, but you won’t go hungry all day. Hopefully this works for you.

Q: My so-called best friend just told me that she doesn’t like hanging out with me anymore. Which I find odd because we spend pretty much all of our time together. Although recently she has been acting kind of funny. I don’t know whether I should ask her why, or just let it be.

A: Maybe ask her why, that way you’re not left wondering about it. Plus then you will know why she has been acting off. I am sure that everything will work out just fine. We hope everything works for you.
