Dear K&K

Kaydence and Kalissa answer your biggest questions

Kalissa Kennedy, staff writer

Q: I want to drop out of school, and my parents say that if I get a job then I am allowed to, but I don’t know if it is a good idea. Like I really want to, but I don’t want to ruin my future.

A: We feel as if you should stay in school. Although it is not our place to tell you how to live your life, education is a very important thing have. Not only that, but some are not given a chance to go to school, so don’t throw that away like it’s nothing.

Q: Some days in class, I have trouble understanding the lesson. I should ask my teacher for help, but I am just too shy. I really need the help because it is started to hurt my grades. How do I talk to my teachers?

A: Well, to start, you can go in at lunches or after school when usually no one else is around. Plus at those times you can bring a friend and that may help. If your teacher is not available at those times, you can talk to them directly after class. Don’t be nervous though, teachers are here to help you, they will usually always help when you ask. I have not met a teacher at this school that has not helped me fully. Don’t be shy, just do what you need to do.
