Policy

Austin Jensen, staff writer

Here at Hunter High school we have a discrimination policy. The discrimination policy was made by the Granite School District and it is used at all the schools in the district. There are many things prohibited within this policy, which makes sense because the world today is at a low; there is a ton of judgement and violence that is going on.

In the policy it states that “Granite School District prohibits discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment,) or retaliation on the basis of race, color, sex, pregnancy, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other legally protected classification in all educational programs, activities, admissions, access, treatment, or employment practices and provides equal access to scouting groups and other designated youth groups.” This is perfect for everyone. It includes everything that students or faculty might judge each other on and makes it so that we can’t judge others on anything. It also makes it so that anyone can join any club or sport that they want to. It doesn’t matter how you look or who you are.
